John
John is an experienced litigation lawyer working predominantly in general insurance (focusing on general liability and professional indemnity claims) as well general commercial litigation and dispute resolution.
He has acted on behalf of domestic and international insurers in litigated claims for personal injury, product liability, property damage and recovery actions. John also has experience acting for professional indemnity insurers and defending a range of professional insureds including solicitors, engineers and certifiers in complex multi-party construction disputes.
John has also gained experience acting for various clients in general commercial matters including contract and shareholder disputes.
John enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues and clients to provide strategic and practical advice in order to achieve cost effective and commercial outcomes.

- Acting for various occupiers, property managers, head and subcontractors in litigated personal injury claims involving multiple parties and dual insurance disputes.
- Acting for construction service providers defending recovery claims made by regulators for alleged damage to critical infrastructure.
- Acting for building certifiers in relation to complex building defect claims, including under the Design Building Practitioners Act 2020 (NSW), on large mixed use apartment developments.
- Assisting with the defence of numerous professional indemnity claims against solicitors.
- Assisting a statutory corporate state regulator in contract disputes and complex competition proceedings.
